Dealer Membership Information
Education Programs
ABSDA is committed to delivering programs, which are timely and focused on today’s industry needs. Members receive preferred pricing and space availability over non-member firms. The Education Committee also offers a certification program - 'Retail Business Management Studies', a five-component program covering Management Skills, Human Resources, Finance, Inventory and Marketing. The association works with the other members of the Canadian Retail Building Supply Council (CRBSC) to deliver cost effective programs and utilizes well recognized facilitators in our industry.
ABSDA Members Facility
The ABSDA Members Facility is conveniently located at 70 Englehart Street, Dieppe, NB and is available to member firms for meetings large and small. Contact the office at (506) 858-0700 to book your meeting.
Statistical Data
ABSDA assembles statistical data on a regular basis for participating member firms in the area of Wage & Salaries, Financial Ratios, Banking issues and Current Business Conditions. This data is industry specific to Atlantic Canada members.
Scholarships & Bursaries
The Board of Directors recognizes the importance of education of today’s students, with twelve $1,000 scholarships and twelve $1,000 bursaries presented in Atlantic Canada annually.
Atlantic Building Supply News
Member firms receive the association’s own magazine - 'The Atlantic Building Supply News'. This publication keeps readers up to date with the latest industry news and trends and is published in March, June, September & December. In addition, four timely newsletters are published annually.
Annual Trade Directory
The ABSDA Buyers Guide is well known as one of the industry’s leading resource tools. Readers can source suppliers and products with this publication through its easy to follow format.
Hotel Rebates for Show Attendees
Dealer member firms, spending two or more nights in a hotel while attending the Atlantic Building Materials Show, are entitled to a rebate of their second night hotel room cost (room & taxes only). A Newfoundland travel reward is also available to firms flying from Newfoundland to the show.

When in Moncton, members can take advantage of special ABSDA hotel rates - contact ABSDA for rates.
Group Insurance
Group insurance programs, tailored to individual firm needs, are available to ABSDA member firms. This is an excellent opportunity to compare your current costs with the industry.
Government Affairs
ABSDA speaks for the building supply industry, making your voice stronger. At the national level, we are able to lobby through our membership in the Canadian Retail Building Supply Council.
